 exactly what i needed September 8, 2010

i have purchased and repurchased those cheap covers for the droid for the last 8months. It seems they all have the same problem where the faceplate cover will break and be unable to fasten to the phone. I have had this case for only a week but have dropped it several times on carpet,concrete,tile,on pretty much every type of flooring and the only problem i have with this cover is, that the faceplate will pop off if dropped at right angle. However it hasnt broke....yet, and just pops back on. On a side not i was pleasantly surprised to see that it comes with one of those screen protectors, so you dont have to buy a pack if you dont want to.

This protective case needs its own protection. The top plastic piece broke at a corner within a few weeks, as others here have reported, without any undue stress. The phone wasn't dropped.

I just received this case and I cannot believe how superior it is to the Body Glove p.o.s. I am replacing. It fits the phone perfectly- it snapped right on and is staying on securely. I had not even realized how much the slide action (to access the full keyboard) was effected by the Body Glove case; with the Otterbox it slides so smoothly! I love the rubberized key covers- the camera, power button and volume are actually easier to use now (which surprised me).
Buy this case!! It is worth every penny!!

Previous to this case I had a Body Glove case that they stock at the Verizon store. That was a good case but it was very hard to get out of your pocket. The Body Glove case also started to wear out after a while. I decided to purchased the Otter Box and it is great. Easy to pull out of your pocket but still has a grippy surface that is easy to hold. It also has little plugs that fit into all the ports to keep out dust. I did drop it once the case popped off but every thing slid right back together good as new. I really like this case.

I bought this product because I wanted to protect the open ports from the sand at the beach. I have had the product for almost two months and it worked well despite being bulky. Sadly, the top plastic piece that surrounds the screen cracked at the stress point of the upper left corner. I am not happy with the grade of plastic used to construct said piece.
