Completely worthless September 3, 2010 Natalie Dorsey (Albany, GA, US) No one could hear me. I could barely hear them. I can't believe I paid $30 for this thing!
superb product September 1, 2010 Carlos Lederman (sao paulo) This is the third unit I bought, the 2 previous work really well and the battery life is really good, I use to turn off the unit when not in use, and can work more than one week without recharging (the cellular phone, when using bluetooth, requires a more frequent recharging time); the button to press and receive calls works fine either.
Bad Sound Quality August 31, 2010 AaronPaul (Minneapolis, MN USA) People on the other end of my calls say I sound like I'm speaking through a tube. I think in a really quiet car with the visor a little lower than in my pickup it might work better... but not really impressed, especially when compared to the Motorola T215 that I replaced it with - which was only $45...
Hands Free August 29, 2010 Barry If you want a quality blue tooth hands free car kit this one is for you. The device is very clear and easy to use. In most areas using a cell phone in a school zone is against the law. The Motorola T305 allows you to continue your conversation even in a school zone. This is a very good price also.
Good product at a good price August 27, 2010 NomDePlume (Philadelphia, PA, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I needed a hands-free device for driving, but had no desire to be one of those dorks with a phone on his ear. Saw this at Amazon, gave it a try, and I'm very happy. Very simple to operate, connected instantly to my phone, and calls are usually very clear. Signal strength (from the phone to the tower) and road noise are the main factors working against a good connection. For the money spent, I'm very happy.
If you haven't used a speakerphone before, please note: It took me a few tries to realize that I'm not talking to the speakerphone, I'm talking to my cell phone, and that I need to learn how to use the voice menus on my phone.
Two quibbles: First, the power-on indicator light. The big button blinks blue every two seconds to indicate that the unit is on. In daytime, this light is too dim to be seen, so you're not sure whether the device on or not; at night, the constantly blinking light just above your field of view is mildly annoying (I usually put it above the visor at night). A steady, small LED would be the right solution.
Second, it comes with a 12V car charger, but you won't be using it much. Best way to charge it is with a USB cable; it will charge either with a wall charger or a USB port on your computer. Most people probably already have a cable they can use, but the device really should come with one. On the other hand, the car charger is a "smart" charger, so I now can charge my (Motorola) cell phone in the car -- all in all, a very fair trade-off. By the way, the device has a nice long battery life.
Another advantage over headsets: this thing stays put. You won't misplace it.
I highly recommend this speakerphone. Money well spent. I don't know what you get in the more expensive units, but I doubt they're worth the extra money.
